AEP Ohio Plans Overnight I-270 Rolling Road Blocks Oct. 8-15 to Install Electric Transmission Wires and Poles

WHAT: To provide more reliable electric service to our customers, AEP Ohio will temporarily close I-270 while crews upgrade the power grid with the installation of electric power poles and wires. Rolling roadblocks will occur in 15-minute intervals while crews complete the work. Signage will be in place to notify drivers and state and local police will direct traffic.
WHO: AEP crews and contractors
WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 8 – Tuesday, Oct. 15
Between 11:59 p.m. – 5 a.m., weather permitting
WHERE: I-270 will be closed about a half-mile north of the Roberts Road exit.
Installations will be along the north side of Scioto Darby Creek Road in Hilliard.
