Restoration maps are made available during prolonged outages. AEP Ohio works hard to prevent power outages, but if one does occur, we want to take every step we can to get the power back on as soon as possible. If you are currently experiencing an outage, you can report your outage on-line. If there is a downed wire or safety hazard condition, please report it immediately to our Customer Operations Center at (800) 672-2231 (available 24 hours).

A safety hazard is a condition that poses an immediate risk to the public, and can include:

• Downed wires that may be sparking or near water.
• Downed poles.
• Trees that have fallen on power lines.

Letting AEP Ohio know about safety hazards helps prevent phone lines from becoming overloaded and helps us prioritize work.
